Why does the App Picker have a 50 app limit?

The App Picker is controlled by Apple, which has a 50-app limit. Truth is, you shouldn’t ever really need to block 50 apps at once, since you should only block the most common apps that you waste time on, such as social media and games. We suggest you select the apps and categories that you use regularly, rather than trying to block all non-essential apps from your phone.

None of my apps are blocking

If you’ve selected apps to block and you have scanned your device to start a focus session, but the apps aren’t blocking, here are a few common solutions you can try: 1. Confirm Locked has Screen Time access - Locked toggle should be green. Settings > Screen Time > Toggle Locked access ‘On’ 2. Check iOS compatibility - Confirm you are using iOS 16.2 or later, and update if iOS is older than 16.2. Settings > General > Software Update 3. Remove Apple Time Limits from Screen Time - iPhones default to any Apple Screen Time limits over Locked modes. Ensure that Screen Time App Limits are toggled off, or all App Limits are 'Off'. Settings > Screen Time > App Limits 4. Remove App Limits from other screen time apps - Turn off any other active screen time app sessions. Screen Time can sometimes get confused if multiple systems are running. Settings > Screen Time > Toggle other apps ‘Off’ 5. Restart your device 6. Delete and redownload Locked 7. Wait ~4 hours - It can take Settings a few hours to activate.

The App Picker page keeps crashing, I can't select any apps

We’re sorry your App Picker is crashing. Here are two ways to fix it so you can keep blocking apps smoothly. Option 1: Update to iOS26 - The App Picker function has improved greatly in iOS26. The best first step is updating if you haven't already. Option 2: Reset App Picker If you prefer, you can also fix the issue by resetting Screen Time, which will clear out old apps and websites. Note: This will clear your browsing history. 1. Delete the Locked App from your device. 2. Open Settings > Screen Time on your iPhone. 3. Turn off these settings: - App & Website Activity (bottom of the Screen Time page) - Share Across Devices (third from bottom) 4. Reinstall the Locked App from the App Store. 5. When prompted, grant Screen Time permissions and choose your apps in the App Picker. 6. (Optional) After setup, you can choose to turn App & Website Activity and Share Across Devices back on.
